House Day

We all enjoyed an opportunity to dress up and cheer for our houses. There were lots of games and activities organised on the field and bigger children supported the littlies. It was a great end to the week.

Values

We are lucky in Room 7 to have lots of lovely children who often display our school values. These are the children who have been chosen so far this year to stand up and be congratulated.

Family Fun Night

It was great to see some Botany Downs School families enjoying an opportunity to picnic together on Friday night. The weather was perfect and a fun time was had by all.

Maths Time

CW is counting how many tens and ones are in a number.

HG and ME are making a tens frame puzzle.

IB is writing the number before and after a given number to 20.

JL, HMc, HB and WM are learning their basic facts to 20.

RW is checking what group he is in.

AR and TH are making shapes with iceblock sticks.

BJ and AB are finishing their Geometry worksheet. They are learning about 2D and 3D shapes.

Aqua Fun Day

We all had loads of fun on Friday at Aqua Fun Day. Although it was a bit of a chilly start to the day, the weather improved and we enjoyed rotating around eight different water based activities. The swimming pool, chalk and paint, space wars, bubbles, water slide, sponge throw, drip, drip, pour and water relay. Thanks to all the parents that helped out.

Road Safety

Today we had a road patrol demonstration. Mrs Henderson and the Road Patrol Monitors showed us the correct way to cross the road safely. It is important that we all cross the road at the crossing as it is the safest place to cross. It is important that Mums and Dads also model safe crossing also. Thanks parents for helping us with this.
